Setting up an NFS Server
See howto here.
- Install packages
sudo apt-get install nfs-kernel-server nfs-common portmap
- Edit file /etc/exports
/files 192.168.1.0/24(rw,no_root_squash,async) #Full RW permission, incl. root access
/files 192.168.1.2 (ro,async) #Single machine RO access
- Restart the server
sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server restart
sudo exportfs -a # Also needed after making changes to /etc/exports

- Install client packages
sudo apt-get install portmap nfs-common
Issues
