Install
Prefer installing from the website, because package in distro are often outdated [1]:
sudo -v && wget -nv -O- https://download.calibre-ebook.com/linux-installer.sh | sudo sh /dev/stdin
Tips
Transfer to kindle
The best format for kindle is azw3. Otherwise Kindle also reads Mobi, but does NOT read epub.
To force Calibre to use azw3:
- Move azw3 as first in the list.
- (Bug on Calibre 3.48) Unselect mobi, to make sure Calibre won't use it.
