How-to

Compile with Xelatex

The simplest is to add the following lines at the beginning of the .tex file [1]:

% !TEX program = xelatex

or alternatively

% !TEX TS-program = xelatex

Another option is to change g:vimtex_compiler_latexmk variable [2].
