Disable windows search and delete up index file

• Location of windows index: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows.

Delete index file

• Go to settings -> Privacy & security -> Searching Windows -> Advanced indexing options, click Rebuild.
• Index won't be rebuild if service is disabled. Just enable it and disable it again rapidly.

Stop the service

• Start services.msc.
• Locate Windows Search, in All Tasks, set it to Disabled (originally Automatic (delayed)). Then Stop the service.

Edit remote user access list

Two ways:

• Launch lusrmgr, and edit Groups / Remote Desktop Users"
• Open Advanced System Settings", go to remote tab.
